What would be some good flowers to put in my front yard?

I have two small oak trees and I'm very bad with plants (so I want something hard to kill). So out of Balloon Flower, Blue Veronica, Columbine, Lavender which ones would be best...

What would be some good flowers to put in my front yard?
Columbine. I believe balloon flowers, veronica and lavendar would need more sun. Day lillies will grow in the shade and they are pretty indestructible.
Reply:Since I like the smell of lavender so much my choice is obvious. Lavender.
Reply:imperial tree peonies are very nice they yield up to 200giant blooms on one plant. blooms are 8" across they grow up to 6feet tall an they live forever.
Reply:if you don't have a green thumb, I'd go with a native flower. But out of your choices, I'd go with Lavender.
Reply:Veronica is probably the hardiest, then Lavender. There are lots of options. Check out these sites for more ideas.
Reply:lavender is very hardy but if the spot is very shaded hydrangeas look really nice but need a lot of water.
