I am getting married in May and am trying to find yellow and blue flowers?

I want yellow and blue flowers for my outdoor, country wedding. I wanted bluebonnets, but was told since they are wildflowers, they wouldn't last very long. I cannot seem to find a good website with info about this type of thing with info about specific flowers, their season, color, and hardiness. If you know anything about this, please respond, and link me to a website if possible. Thank you.

Irises come in many shades of beautiful and have a bright dash of yellow in the center, which would be perfect for you!

Roses are usually available all year round for the same price, why not try yellow roses with iris or blue delphinium. These are all commonly used wedding floers because they are all hardy, and should all be available in May. Call around to local florists and get some quotes based on those flowers! Hope thi helps!

This one has many colors, but you can see the yellow and blue hydrangeas in it, which a beautiful and sturdy flowers

Reply:Blue hydrangeas and yellow roses or yellow lillies would be pretty.
Reply:Use sunflowers with some little blue %26amp; white flowers...so cute. The blue %26amp; white flowers can be any kind of small wildflowers. I saw this done on theknot.com %26amp; it was beautiful. Perfect for an outdoor country wedding!

Reply:Roses or carnations would work, but if you have your heart set on bluebonnets you should have them. You can go to wikepedia.com and find all the info you need to know about bluebonnets. If they will not be in season dong your wedding, you can do silk and this way your bouquet will last forever.

Any ideas on A small (and will stay small) purple or blue flower that is low maintanance that we could plant in the pots?

Violets are great potted plants with a beautiful purple/blue hue to them. They are affordable and last a long time. There are tons of varieties as well so you can look and see which kind you like and plant them.

Bluebells are beautiful wildflowers that spring up in no time and are perfect potted plants.

But if you want something that is unique for each individual, perhaps you should consider growing pansies called "happy face"...you tend to find some pansies with different colors and shapes mixed together. Some pansies have purple yellow colour, while others have an orange colour. Buy different types of panises and mix them together to see who ended up with what colour.

Because you are preparing for a wedding ceremony - you should aim for annuals because they grow fast and they can all take them home.

Does anyone have any pictures or web links for wedding colors navy/midnight blue and black? Flowers?

I am recently engaged and I have not set a date so I am not rushing to make final arrangements for a wedding, but before I can go any farther I want to choose colors for my wedding. We are considering an outdoor summer wedding and reception. Safe color choices would be red, black and white, which I have always liked and are classic colors that would be easy to work with. I have always been one to be a little different without being wild and crazy, but I am envisioning a wedding with navy/midnight with black and some, (little) white for accents. I think that flowers would be the most difficult to coordinate a wedding with on a small budget in the Midwest. Does anyone have pictures from their own wedding or links to websites for reception decorations or flowers that agree with these colors and are still tasteful? I have seen many websites with blue flowers, but they are too light in color and I wish to avoid light blue colors, if necessary. Thanks for your input!

Visit Sensational Brides and go through the flowers gallery by color, There are hundreds of wedding photo ideas for your color scheme. good luck
Reply:i dont have any websites. but my answer is either dye white flowers (like carnations) blue, or go buy fake flowers, that way they can be a life long centerpiece and wedding attendees may take these home!

or have white flowers and put dark blue tinsel in the vases or around them...very cute!
Reply:Why not have your flowers be the little bit of accent color (white).
Reply:Couple of things - Navy is not a summer wedding color you may have trouble with that. Secondly, black and midnight blue are so close in color you may not be able to distinguish them.
Reply:Mkay...since my wedding colors are like almost exactly that color let me tell ya...go to the davids bridal website and look at the color blue velvet...its not actually velvet its just the name. Thats my colors for my June wedding

As for the cake, i am doing tiered square white layers with navy ribbon wrapped around the bottom of each layer, surrounded on the table with white and navy blue flower petals, it looks great...good luck, let me know if you need more ideas, I have tons of pics....I am using Davids Bridal color "Marine"

THERE IS NO REASON TO FEEL ANYTHING BUT GIDDY! I WOULD LOVE TO RECIEVE FLOWERS FROM A WOMAN! IT WOULD MAKE ME FEEL WANTED AND THOUGHT ABOUT. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY I'D FEEL SPECIAL. AND THESE FEELINGS ARE WONDERFUL FEELINGS, NOTHING TO BE EMBARRASSED ABOUT!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE BLUE QUESTION.

If my wedding colors are royal blue and silver, what color flowers would look good for the bouquets?

Wedding is May 31st, silver dresses for bridesaids, with royal blue accents, Thank you for your advice!

If my wedding colors are royal blue and silver, what color flowers would look good for the bouquets?
I know quite a few answers say yellow, but I think I would avoid yellow altogether, try to stay in the cool color palette, since your colors are cool. I think an all white bouquet will get washed out against the silver, and I think red would be bold but too bold for the color scheme.

For silver dresses, I really LOVE the contrast of purple, or shades of purple flowers. It is really a nice contrast. I wouldn't go with anything white, or pale colors....that will look washed out. Here are some pictures of bouquets:

You should go and meet with a florist if you have not done so already. Look through their books of previous weddings. They will be able to give you suggestions and to work with your budget! That is their business!

Good luck!
Reply:Blue if you can find them. Hydrangeas and such.

or red roses would be spectacular!
Reply:I would do a rich color like a deep pink or sunny yellow and then combine it with white
Reply:Go with lavender and purple color flowers like sterling roses, hydrangea, or calla lillies.
Reply:What about bluebells?
Reply:White. or Red to offset the blue/white combo.
Reply:White would go well with the silver.
Reply:I would see what you can get in blue, natural not dyed! I would put them in a bed of white flowers. Or, being a spring wedding, you could get a spring mixture of colors. Depending on if you are formal or casual. Or, if you could get a single blue flower for your girls, that would be pretty too!
Reply:I think that white would be perfect with blue and silver. You could accent it with blue ribbon or silver ribbon. Maybe white roses or white carnations.

Or to be totally off beat, yellow rosebuds with blue ribbons would be pretty.
Reply:You can always go with white, it always looks crisp, clean, and classic, especially with your color combination.

some blue flowers you can use that are lovely are delphinium and iris, though iris has some yellow to it so if you dont want that those may not be a good choice.

http://images.mooseyscountrygarden.com/m...

You can also order blue roses (they are dyed, there are no true blue roses) but they are stunning, unique, and definitely make a statement.

http://www.dotflowers.com/blue-roses-flo...

Hope this helps, you could just chose white, or use white roses accented with delphinium or blue roses, or all blue, or all white for you and all blue for your bridesmaids (a mix of irises, delphinium, and blue roses would be lovely) etc. You could do a million combos so just htink about what look you are going for. Good luck!
Reply:Here is another image for a blue bouquet. To bring out the silver you can always wrap silver ribbon around the handle and let it hang down a bit.

Reply:My first thought on this was something bold like red or hot pink, but the more I think about it, maybe you should go in the opposite direction. On the color wheel, yellow is opposite of blue. How about a bright yellow or a softer yellow?
Reply:White would look good

Are morning glory [blue flowers/vine] easy2grow? will they climb a fence nicely?
Morning Glories are great for covering a large space. I've heard people say that you can never get rid of them after planting but I've never had them come back, always have to replant. I grew some under a cedar tree that had been trimmed of branches until about 10 feet off the ground. Last year the morning glories climbed the tree and went up into the branches. I had no idea they'd go that far, it was pretty spectacular and they were covered with blooms every morning. I think if you spaced them every 6-8' along the fence they'll cover nicely. I started mine inside in the little peat pots. Then I put those directly in terra cotta pots (probably 10" diameter) that I busted the bottoms out of and filled in around them with potting soil. That got the seedlings off to a nice start without competing with weeds/grass, but as they grew the roots could go down into the yard. Turn the soil over underneath the pot then place them at least four inches down into the soil. Mine were covered with blooms, more blooms than leaves.
Reply:plant them a couple inches apart and it will fill in great

I plant them around my back deck, and they go crazy there, just make sure they get enough sun and you may need to train them to climb in the begining, but once they start going, they won't stop.

remember to collect the seeds in the fall

good luck and happy planting, these are my favorite!
Reply:hey fellow new yorker! i live in wny and i grow morning glories all of the time. they are very popular around this area.
Reply:they are as close as weed as you can get. easy to growhard to get rid of
Reply:New York? I lived in Texas and planted them one time, and they were beautiful, and came back every year. The vines were covered with flowers, maybe a flower every 4 inches? But, I really can't say if NY would be different.

No, its not worth anything.
Reply:if you really would like to know the answer, i would suggest that you go to your local modern arts museum.. most have libraries that are special collections or art, art history, art theory books, and of course biographical indexes of many artists.

however it could also be that the painting you have was created by someone who just liked painting. if you look at the materials it was made with, they should offer you some clue about the painting.

What proportion of blue flowed progeny plants will breed true if self-fertilized?

Blue flowers are dominant to pink flowers. When a blue flower is self-pollinated, its progeny are 32 blue flowered plants %26amp; 9 pink plants. What proportion of the blue progeny plants will breed true if self-fertilized? Why/how?

What proportion of blue flowed progeny plants will breed true if self-fertilized?
The blue flower is heterozygous since it contains the alleles for blue and pink. Lets call the dominant allele, blue, B and pink, b.

So crossing Bb with itself Bb yields:

BB, Bb, Bb, bb

so about 3/4 should be blue and 1/4 pink. Our theoretical is similar to actual data.

Of the blue (BB, Bb, Bb) 2/3 if self fertilized will still yield pink.

But 1/3 (BB) will breed true blue!
Reply:Silly. Divide 32 by 9, that's your ratio.

That's how many blue flowers to pink flowers you'll have if you let your blue flowers breed.

If you were to look at the problem as a box, you would see that the answer should be about 4 to 1:

this is why:

BB Bp

Bp pp = where B is the dominant blue flower, and p the recessive trait to be a pink flower.

We cross multiply them, like fractions. We get

BB Bp - blue flower

BB Bp - blue flower

BB Bp - blue flower

BB pp - pink flower.

B is "true" as BB Bp, a blue flower with no pink gene.

BB Bp will show as a blue flower, but has a "carrier" for a pink flower. When breeding BB, you will get either Bp or pp or BB. Most frequently you will get BB, but those recessive genes show up. About one flower in four will be the recessive pink combination.

Of course you just learned nothing. What's the point of homework again?

Do you know the name of this blue flower?

I can't find a pic of it anywhere but it is almost a teal colour. Its shape is similar to a Bird of Paradise, I think but it is much smaller. I thought it might be a type of tropical flower that is dyed blue but I am not sure... all I know that it is a much different blue than most 'blue' flowers like hydrangeas, etc. Names and/or links to pictures would be greatly appreciated as I am using a dark teal as one of my wedding flowers and I thought it might look good for the boutonnieres.

Do you know the name of this blue flower?
Is it a lily or orchid?
Reply:Maybe a blue freesia, maybe a delphinium...you should probably go to a florist and ask because you'll need to order something they can get and they can suggest a lot of things.

How can I paint actual flowers, ie making the petals of a sunflower blue?

I am trying to paint an actual flower, I bought paint for this purpose that actually claims to help preserve a flower; however I do not want the flower to look campy or cheesy, I want it to look alive and real. Does anyone know if the paint they sell actually preserves the flower so that it doesnt turn out all shrivled like a dried flower would? On the same token are there any other ways to seal a flower to retain its original form almost like a clear plastic resin that adheres thin but is maneagable enough to paint??? A long question I know, but I would be greatly appreciative of any input!

Thanks.

How can I paint actual flowers, ie making the petals of a sunflower blue?
I don't know where you can buy it, but, silica gel is probably the best thing and most amazing. It's a grainy type of thing, like sand. It's what they put in those little packages in shoe boxes etc., and it keeps things dry. You would have to buy enough to actually cover your entire flower, you leave it for about 5 days and when you take it out it looks like a fresh flower, only dry! They come out beautiful. I have done this with roses and delphiniums and impatience. I would think that then you could take a little bit of paint to them, a little at a time. Sorry to run on, but hope this helps.
Reply:I would call a major hobby store and ask them. I am sure there is something out there that would meet your needs. It sounds like a really cool idea.

I think I will call Hobby Lobby tomorrow and find out for myself!
Reply:as a child in science class, we put cut flowers in water with blue food coloring. the petals turned blue... I dont know if it stays that way though after dried

I am getting married in August and my color is a sky blue/tealish color. What flowers should I use??????
I got married 3 years ago come august and had a similar dilemna since the dresses were a tiffany's/robins egg blue color. We used a mixed bouquet that had alot of white with a few purple and orange flowers thrown in for color. It really 'popped' in front of the dresses. I also ordered some ribbon in the dress color and wrapped all the ends of the bouquets in it. Good luck.
Reply:Congratulations winonacurlz! Are you opposed to using some "silk" mixed in with "fresh"? I worked in the floral industry for five+years, and to be quite honest with you...I would suggest you go with your "instinct". It's "your special" day! If however, you need some guidance..."White Lil lies", "Queen-Ann's Lace", (Bachelor Buttons...to let him know he's taken...j/k LOL!) and some "White Alstromerium". You could then "accent" your bouquet with "blue" ribbon loops and/or streamers cascading downwards from your bouquet. Since your wedding is in August, you might consider just a simple "hand-held" bouquet of "White Gladiolas" or "Orchids"? God Bless you on your special day! OXXO Moonchild
Reply:I think Bird of Paradise would be stunning, orchids come in every variety but are pricey. I had some Lobster-claw Heliconia as center pieces, and still hear their praises. They also last months, mine stayed perfect for over a year! hydgrangia are great to make pom-poms with for bouquets
Reply:Go with any type of flower that is white. Any other color will clash with the teal/sky blue color.

What do you think about light blue and orange for wedding colors. The dresses are blue, flowers orange?

Is this your wedding? Then, the question should be, "What do YOU think of those colors?" If you like them, then they are perfect!

What do you think about light blue and orange for wedding colors. The dresses are blue, flowers orange?
I LOVE the colors! I am not sure if you are trying for a NASCAR theme, but that is what my wedding colors were, because of Rusty Wallace, and Tony Stewart! I had blue and orange flowers, and all the ribbons etc.. I think it was beautiful, I wish I had pictures available to show you! (they are in storage)
Reply:Hi, I'm a wedding florist in Northern California. I think that blue and orange flowers would look fabulous for your wedding! Blue and Orange are opposite on the color wheel, and that's why they go good together. A splash of color looks really good for photography pictures as well. You can add some white to your bouquet to make it stand out from the others. If you need more help please view my site in the source below, or email me.

Whats the best kind of flowers to go with a white house and blue roof?

I really dont want to just put random flowers in the front, I want it to look good.

Whats the best kind of flowers to go with a white house and blue roof?
You didn't mention your light requirements so I can't help you with species. But as for color, I'd go with pale yellow, sky blue and pastel peach.

Depending on your light requirements, this may include achillea (yarrow), hardy geranium, helianthemum, pulmonaria (lungwort), oenethra, coreopsis and many many others. You may want to include a few annuals with your perennials for summer-long bloom. Try browsing a plant and seed catalogue for ideas.

Always plant in clumps rather than many different individual plants. At home, I like to use what I call "anchor" plants; repeat these plantings at the ends and in the center, and fill in with different varieties. It will give your garden a pulled-together appearance. You may want to "anchor" with some lovely flowering shrubs, like viburnum, itea, hydrangea, spirea and weigela. All come in a varity of colors; again what you plant will depend on your light requirements.
Reply:You can do several different flowers all in the same color to make it look interesting on a textural level, or you can plant all the same flower. It may seem trite, but red flowers would look great. Pink will also do well. I would steer away from white. Yellow and orange would look nice.
Reply:Lots of red. Geraniums would be great. Red roses, purple coneflower, purple petunias. Don't do anything white or pale in color. You want lots of contrast. Dark greens, like Hostas would be good, too.
Reply:roses,they go with everything.
Reply:HYDRANGEAS! add the proper mix so you get the blue/purple shades
Reply:How about white daisies? The yellow centers would compliment the blue roof and bring out the whiteness of the house.

You can also try yellow tulips or daffodils if you don't like daisies. Anyhow, all three of these flowers are simple and sweet and will make your home look welcome-y.
Reply:geraniums, lilies, black-eyed susan...iris, tulips, daffodils, zinnias, clematis....

You can do what ever you love that will grow where you live.

Take into account climate, shade, water requirements of the plants, the time you want to spend caring for them....

Then visit a garden center or search the web for information. Do you want annuals (only around for one year) or perennials, which come back year after year. How much space do you have? Do you want formal looking plants or more free style? Anything goes, as long as you love them and will care for them as they need.
Reply:The ones with white flowers and blue roots. lol I think exotic lilies would look good.

There are many blue flowers. Blue Tulips are Gorgeous. Blue Peonies, Blue Bells, Hydrangeas (perfect for cut flowers) Lobelia, Plumbago(beatiful but mostly available in the south)Siberian Iris', Blue Roses, Vinca, Scabiosa,Verbenia

Reply:you can have some flowers dyed blue if yiou cant find any that are naturally blue - ask the florist
Reply:Morning Glory is the only one I am aware of.
Reply:blue(pastel) and white carnations. You can find a lot of silk flowers in blue if you didnt necessarily want real flowers. They are less expensive and last forever as mementos.
Reply:As virgo27 noted, there are a ton of blue varieties of flowers, but since its hard to decide on a flower without seeing what they look like, theres a site by the connecticut botanical society that has photos of lots of flowers by color.

Are there any "real" blue flowers? (p.s. I'm on a slim budget)

All of these are darker blue in color and should be available in September, muscari and hyacinth and scillia are not. The hydrangia is a more costly flower but it cover a lot of space so it's "cost per square inch" is actually quite good.

Hope this helps!
Reply:I would personally due some ivory or light colored tones. This will compliment your blue and khaki colors. I would begin by going on theknot and similar sites -- go under the flowers section but it's also helpful to look at "real weddings." Look for people's weddings with similar colors and look for weddings in September. See if there are any that you really like!
Reply:Blue delphiniums, blue irises, hydrangeas, grape and regular hyacinth would work for you, and the latter two can be grown by you in cute small pots, clustered together to become centerpieces and then give away as wedding favors. They have a wonderful sweet fragrance and are easy to grow, especially in the north. Search pictures and you can see if you like them.
Reply:Any of these would look lovely. Best of luck.

Reply:You can find hydrangeas in blue... they are nice and petite too! What will also help is if you have a 3rd accent color like white or ivory. This will just help you out in situations like this when you want something that you cannot find an EXACT matched color for your bright blue or khaki.

Good luck!
Reply:Yes their is such a thing as blue flowers, if you are wanting to get some ideals you can go to a flower store, and see what they can come up,and give you some ideals, also you can go with plastic flowers since they don't cost that much as well, and they wont die on you ither.
Reply:Your wedding date and colours are similiar to mine! It is best to go with flowers that are "in season" so you aren't paying an arm and a leg. I did end up going with fall colours, but i was considering just going with yellows, or a natural blue flower. I'm sure whatever you pick will be lovely! goodluck!
Reply:Don't go with blue flowers, they are considered tacky for weddings. PLus dyed flowers get pricey. I'd stick to white/cream coloured flowers. Add a splash of colour with ribbons to your bouquet.
Reply:why not try some bright yellow, orange and pale yellows, white flowers?

Can you add any kind of fertilizer that will make Plumbago flowers a deeper blue?

I use Miracle Gro and my flowers are very bright blue. They are not going to change color blue, but may get more intense.

Can you add any kind of fertilizer that will make Plumbago flowers a deeper blue?
No
Reply:Aluminum sulphate will make some hydrangea cultivars bluer, also works on blue spruce, you could try a small handful around the plumbago. You can buy it at a garden center.
Reply:I am not sure that Plumbagos respond in the same way Hydrangeas do - in fact I am thinking that they do not.

If the variety is white, it is white, blue it is blue and so on......

However, you might try the "Hydrangea treatment" and lower the Ph of the soil. You can buy a soluable product at your garden centre that will lower the Ph. for more blue.

The way you remember this is:

Pink flower for girls = sweet soil

Blue flowers for boys = sour

Try it and let us know next year.
Reply:Check the soil PH and adjust accordingly.

Okay I answered this question last week, so I hope you don't mind if I just paste a shortcut to that question into my answer here:

P.S. I should have got the best answer for that one, clearly.

Blessings on you! I love blue flowers, too!
Reply:As far as true blue plants, there aren't many. Most are really purple, ranging from reddish purple to bluish purple. The Nikko Hydrangea offers the closest to true blue possible and is a great summer blooming deciduous shrub. Spring blooming pansies such as Delta Blue, along with Myrtle, a perennial ground cover and Grape Hyacinth, a Spring blooming bulb, also provide a "periwinkle" blue accent in the garden.

There's a pretty flowering shrub that I've seen with clusters of small, light blue flowers...?

and I can't remember the name for anything! I keep wanting to call it plumeria, but that's that tropical plant thats used for lei's. My question is, does anyone have any clue what I might be referring to, and if so, do you know if it will grow in the Bay Area (Northern CA)?

thanks!!!

There's a pretty flowering shrub that I've seen with clusters of small, light blue flowers...?
Could it be PLUMbago? That sounds a bit like PLUMeria (commonly known as Frangipani), and it's a gorgeous light blue flowering shrub. If that's what you mean, you're in luck! It grows like wild fire in the Bay Area- it just needs sun most of the day, and water. Once it's well established, it isn't really even all that picky about water! There is one growing (and thriving) along a fence on the asphalt parking lot of an antique store in DT San Jose that must be apx. 8' h by 6' w, and it doesn't appear to be maintained by anyone. It has asphalt on one side and railroad tracks on the other, so they appear to be pretty hardy.

They grew all over my neighborhood when I lived in SJ, and every once in a blue moon, I would see one with dark blue-purplish (like a violet) flowers- STUNNING!! (Of course, I can't remember the name right now!) It's not as common looking as the light blue, although the light blue is absolutely gorgeous- the flower color is just more common than the darker one. I've been searching for the dark one for a couple years now.

If you happen to live in one of those funny pockets in the BA (Mt. Hamilton, the Marina in SF) where you get very little sun, heavy freezes or even snow, I would ask at your local nursery for advice, and what will happen to the bush in the winter. You may be able to simply put a cover over it during freezes.

Well I hope that's it, and it helped. Even if it's not, check out Plumbago- it's gorgeous! If you like light blue flowering shrubs, I think you will like this one a lot. You can buy it at OSH, but call ahead to make sure they have it in stock.

I added another site below (wiki) so that you would have a pictorial reference. The 2 pics on the right side of the page are indicative of what grows in the BA, especially the one at the bottom. Also, I remembered the name of the darker blue version of the bush, it's called "Royal Cape" Plumbago and it is breath-taking.

Reply:Sounds like a Ceanothus to me...look this up on google images to see if it matches what you saw. Ceanothus is evergreen, with very pretty blue flower clusters and is very hardy so should be able to grow in north CA easily.
Reply:You were close! Try looking at this site about PLUMBAGO. Yes, it will grow up there. It thrives in SoCal so long as you water it, so Bay Area should be fine.

White or blue flowers?

Can anyone please tell me what kind of flowers are blue and white in colour in nature(not dyed)? Not in both blue and white but a flower that is solely blue or solely white. Thank you!

White or blue flowers?
Some cool white flowers are: white roses (both domestic and wild such as wood rose); daisies; St. Ann's Lace; white lilies; snapdragons; dutchman's breeches; and many many more.

Naturally blue flowers are not quite as numerous but there are some good ones: flax; wild daisies (some species of them are more blue than others); heath aster; bluebells; spiderwort; dayflower; certain species of cactus flowers; trumpet vine etc.

In Japan, I received yellow and blue flowers (I think they are roses) from a Japanese girl. Meaning? Intent?

We went out to dinner/karaoke several times with other friends. I don't know what the colors mean or what her intent is. I think yellow means friendship, but perhaps it's different in other countries? And the blue ones?

In Japan, I received yellow and blue flowers (I think they are roses) from a Japanese girl. Meaning? Intent?
The bright and sunny color of yellow suggests warmth and happiness. the warmth and happiness of the yellow rose is an ideal symbol for joy and friendship. it's like saying "can we be friends?" or "I'm glad to be your friend". Blue roses on the other hand are atypical/ uncommon because there are no blue roses before coz they lack the pigment delphinidin (pigment that produces true blue flowers), but thru genetic engineering a Japanese company created a blue rose. Blue roses symbolizes attaining the impossible.

But maybe the roses mean something different to her or she might have just love those roses

The fact that she gave you roses means that you're someone special to her, as a friend or anything, nonetheless you're still special to her!
Reply:As most other people said, it's the meaning you give it. I think she's just saying she likes you, either as a good friend, or has a crush on you and she's trying to tell you that. It's really sweet of her to give you flowers, I think you need to give her some in return, or at least thank her in some kind, thoughtful way.
Reply:Flowers are flowers. It means she likes you. Go for it if you like her.

I lived in Japan for 3 years and no girl ever gave me flowers.
Reply:yellow roses are for happiness and blue ones for attraction
Reply:I would say that she likes you, that's why she gave you the flowers.

It's more likely she would be thinking of what the colours mean to YOU, not to herself.

I don't think she meant for you to be searching as to some secret meaning.

This reminds me of something. I went down to a local Karma (home centre) and noticed they were selling nice little bunches of flowers for a reasonable price. I bought some and put them on my table at home to brighten things up. My Japanese gf came over and laughed. Those were flowers for putting on graves. I still kept them. They looked nice.

The only thing I can get from your message here is that you've got a new girlfriend (if you want). Have fun.
Reply:the sure way to know her real intent is by asking her.me...i only give flowers to someone whom i have big affection.
Reply:there're lots of meaning in language of flowers.

depends on countries, books or person.

so i just can say she feel attracted to you.

she wants your attention!!

I need pictures of wedding cakes with blue flowers!?
Have you tried www.theknot.com?

or type in blue flower wedding cake in google's search engine. I came up with the couple of images added below in seconds.

Also, go to your local library- you can find books there with cakes, cake making, and photos. JoAnn fabrics and Michael's craft stores often have cake decorating books available too.
Reply:We are using blue hydrangeas on our cake. I never found a cake that I liked that had blue flowers on them, however, I found a cake that I liked that had real flowers on it, and asked the florist if she thought she would be able to make it like that using "our flowers". So my advice is to find the cake that you like, and check with the florist to see if they could make it happen with your flower choices.
Reply:What flowers are you using for the bridal party? I'll update if you can tell me. I searched for wedding cakes with blue flowers but didn't come up with much.

What is the genotype of a blue-flowered plant and what gametes would it produce as a result of meiosis?

The full question sounds like this:

Most individuals of a certain wild flower have white petals, but a few are blue. Crosses have shown that the blue color is due to a recessive allele. Use "W" for white and "w" for blue.

The blue flowered plant has a genotype of ww. It only produces w-type gametes.

Which color blue flowers look best for a wedding?

my best friend don't have yet the date for the wedding, but she has the colors choosen (aqua blue, brown with lilac and green and gold as accents for details) she is hoping for a fall wedding but i am clueless for flowers that will work under those colors, specially blue and i am trying to help her with this detail...

her wedding gown will be on the ivory golden color, and so far will be an outdoor ceremony with an indoors reception...as a note she lives in Puerto Rico, so living in the Caribbean is also important when choosing flowers...

Thank you ya'll for any suggestions...

Which color blue flowers look best for a wedding?
Here are some blue flowers.... Also there are some flowers that are white %26amp; you can get them dyed any color you want by a florist. I hope this helps :)
Reply:We were thinking of the same colours, but it was easy to get very frustrated so we had to give up in the end. However, there are possibilities - the important thing is that you should try to avoid getting flowers for all of those colours - at least one of them should be reserved as ribbons to complement the flowers. There are many colours in there and they are very easy to clash.

With green and gold assumed as accents via ribbons, the best option here is irises - very bright, large, stylish, easy to accessorise and hard to go past. Delphiniums also look great and are perfect for "garnishing". Offset these with some pale orchids and baby's breath to bring out their brightness.

Beyond this, I'm afraid you really need to get the date for the wedding first, then speak to a florist from her region to find out what's actually available at the time - otherwise, you're likely to be building some fairly expensive castles in the air.

However, if she decides to use blue as the ribbon, then your choices open up radically: brown basic sticks look amazing against purple Singapore orchids, yellow roses and evergreen, and put the lot against a white tablecloth with a pale blue runner and it'll really work.
Reply:sky or baby blue.

My wedding color is tropic blue what kind of flowers should i go for?
There are some georgeous blue flowers that florists use alot but I cannot remember the name of them. But I would use blue flowers, white stephonitis, and maybe yellow roses or mums and some green ivy wrapped with ribbon with streamers, in the bridesmaids bouquets. For the maid of honor I would make it a little different. For your bouquet, I would use white roses, white orchids, green ivy and some beautiful blue flowers. If you have a flower girl and ring bearer, dress her in white with a wide blue sash on her dress and a carrying a white basket filled with blue flower petals. The ring bearer will carry a white pillow with blue streamers. Go to the florist that you will be using and ask him to see a book of all the flowers that he uses. They all have those books and in that book you will find blue flowers of all kinds and you will find the right blue. Then you can make your selection and then choose the style of the bouquets. I wish you luck.
Reply:pink and lite violet
Reply:Pink would be nice.
Reply:baby blue
Reply:maybe champagne colored roses. They would probably compliment the blue very well. But tell your florist that...they should be able to die flowers the color you want them. You know all you have to do is get white carnations and let them sit in a vase with bkue food coloring to dye them yourself. The longer you leave them the darker they will get. You'll have to keep them refrigerated.
Reply:I think a pretty orange flower would look nice.
Reply:I think a nice white flowers with a blue flower through them would be nice - sounds like a beautiful colour!
Reply:Bold white roses, tulips, lilies, or calla lilies, with smaller blue flowers like hydrangeas, or irises.

Congrats on your wedding.

calla lilies are nice too
Reply:white daisey and blue iris
Reply:You can dye a flower to be blue....if you were looking to maybe keep to one flower this would be a cute way to go....otherwise there are plenty of blue flowers to chose from!!
Reply:You could take white carnations or roses or something and stick the stem in blue food coloring.

Or you could go with orange. Orange and blue are, after all, complimentary colors and look wonderful together. ^_^

Blue is my wedding colour, so is it best to have blue flowers?

My fiancee is wearing a baby blue tie, and the wedding party are wearing navy. Also, touches of blue will be every where (ie: table runners, candle holders, etc). I'm just unsure of what flower colours to pick for my bouquet, my maid of honour, etc?

Blue is my wedding colour, so is it best to have blue flowers?
My color was a sky/baby blue. My flowers were pink, purple, yellow, and a little bit of blue. Wow...it does sound horrific, but it was actually quite pretty. I loved them!

I am a fan of a colored bouquet for the bride. It "pops" against a white dress! (If you're wearing any shade of white...)
Reply:I think yellows, or reds/pinks or white. The reason being is that the blue will blend in, or look overdone, you want to draw attention you and the girls not have people that look like big monochromatic blobs. There aren't very many flowers that come in blue either. You could do a yellow boquet (White will blend with your dress) and the girls all carry a white that will pop with the colors of their dresses. White flowers for the bride usually look boring and blend too much in my personal opinion.
Reply:I would stay away from being too matchy matchy.

Try to find colors that compliment eachother without being the same. That will keep it from being overwhelming.

White roses are simple but very beautiful and you could personalize them up by adding a favorite charm or scarf to the wrap.

Congrats!!
Reply:If you have a blue theme already, I wouldn't add fall colors on top of it...it'll just be confusing.

I wouldn't use blue flowers for the bouquet, though you might be able to add some small blue flowers as accents in the bouquet, or maybe a blue ribbon holding the bouquet together.

Of course, you don't *need* to have it there if you don't want.
Reply:I would go with creams or yellows. Don't go with blue, you're over doing that color. Pick an accent colour. I think you're safest with a cream-colour. Even though it's the fall you're stating "baby blue". If your main blue colour was navy then you would be safe to go with a darker accent colour. Creams and/or a yellow will accent any blue.
Reply:Go check out CHURCHBOWS Com. You can see different color decorations there. I would say which ever blue you are using less of have put in your bouquet in small amounts with white. Light blue in the bouquet would look good and go with his tie. Anyway go to the website and ask them. They make custom bouquets in your colors. Good Luck!
Reply:There are some silver-blue roses that could make a lovely accent. There are also a lot of blue flowers of varying sizes, shapes, shades, and heights that could make lovely accents or a lovely bouquet. It depends on what you like best. You could do creams or whites for the main part of the bouquet with just a few accents in the blues to complement your chosen colors. A totally blue bouquet could be lovely, but only if it is done with some bright blues, some light blues, accents of white or yellow, and some different heights to give it some sparkle and lighten up the blue theme. Congrats and good luck.
Reply:Yellow is a nice complementary color to blue. If you really feel you need blue, have them add a little stephanoitis (tiny white flower they can dye any color including blue) to the bouquet, but just a tiny bit.
Reply:I was a bridesmaid at a wedding that had a blue wedding colour and they had bouquets with white roses and small blue flowers. Also on the bit that you hold of the bouquet it looks really pretty if you tie white ribbon around it before pinning it in place with little diamond pins!
Reply:yellows and oranges would work, i think whites and creams would be pretty. there are some floweres that come in blue but i think i would go with an accent color, something to pop against the dresses. if you do decide to do blue floweres i recommend not having your florist paint them, i think they look cheap and tacky. hope this helps
Reply:MAYBE SOME CREAMED COLORED FLOWERS AND THEN USE THE BLUE IN THE RIBBON IN YOUR BOUQUET......THE BOTTOM LINE IS THOUGH THAT IT IS YOUR DAY AND YOU DO WHAT WILL BE MOST MEMORABLE FOR YOU AND FUTURE HUBBY.....
Reply:Don't do blue flowers, that's a little too much. Try white, cream or some other neutral color.
Reply:For flowers you could go with white, cream, yellow or pink and it will look wonderful, but blue flowers may be too much. Try wrapping the stems in blue ribbon to keep your theme going.
Reply:You don't need to have EVERYTHING blue. You can mix two or three colours that compliment each other. And besides, if you have blue flowers, you have to start artificially colouring them all...

I think creams, yellows, golds, silvers (not for flowers I guess!), but you get the idea. Perhaps you could incorporate the blue in the bouquet by using blue ribbon to tie the flowers.
Reply:Dont do blue flowers, pick another wedding color along with blue
Reply:Yellows, Reds and Oranges will look amazing! my sister in law had a similar color scheme for fall and the colors really popped against our dresses and showed up beautiful in the pictures!
Reply:talk to your florist , if you don't have one maybe put a small amount of blue, with whiteor cream i would really talk to someone that does this for a living. kc
Reply:blue flowers look so unnatural! I would use white or cream or possibly another accent color to break it all up. If it is spring or summer a nice touch of pale celery green would be pretty. Like the pastel green color.
Reply:if you are going to do blue i would use Different Hues of the color blue..Dark Blue..Navy..Cobalt.."blue"..Sky Blue..Pale Blue..If you do the same blue for everything it's going to hide all the detail of you wedding. Blue's nice..Orange is the opposite of the color blue on the color wheel so your girls..w/e blue they may be in ..will look great. Same for all you other accessories of the wedding
Reply:i would say pick white to accent with the blue though which will set it off nice depending on what flowers you are using.

i think white lilies and deep blue lilies are just beautiful but depends on what you like.

i found some pictures of them if you search 'blue flowers' on google.com
Reply:Use a complimentary color. Try pale pink, yellow, cream, ivory but do put little bits of blue in the bouquet as well
Reply:Hi I had baby blue as my wedding theme, I had pink and cream orchids with a few sticks of lavender in it, and many people commented on how gorgeous they were. They smelt gorgeous with the lavender on the day.

Have similar colours for your maid of honor too. She can have maybe roses which are nice in a posy style.

Good luck, and enjoy a wonderful day, mine will forever be in my memory as the best day of my life.
Reply:I would say blue and white. I think blue and white roses look nice. Any other color could take away from the blue.

What color flowers would match cornflower blue bridesmaid dresses?

I have no clue what flowers to use, any help would be appreciated.

What color flowers would match cornflower blue bridesmaid dresses?
My bridesmaids dresses are cornflower blue as well. I am using the color scheme of cornflower blue, butter yellow and pale light green. The bridesmaids bouquets consist of light blue hydrangea, creamy yellow stock and green hypericum berries. My maid of honor has white hydrangea with light blue delphinium and green hypericum berries.

If you like the blue/green/yellow color scheme here are some more flowers to consider;

Blue:

blue-purple grape hyacinths

Blue - sprayed roses

Blue - sprayed carnations

Dusty Miller

Pale/Butter Yellow:

Ranunculus

Snapdragon

Stock

Rose

Green:

Gladiolus

Lime green (Kermit) Mums

Hydrangea

Cymbidium Orchid

You can also consult a florist and he/she can give you suggestions based up on the season and your budget.

Congrats and good luck!
Reply:light blue, light pink, or white is the best choice
Reply:Yellow, pink, or even a bold red!
Reply:yellow or white would look pretty.
Reply:This was the color for My best friend swedding and we carried Blue and white Hydrangeas (sp?). Maybe you would like those?
Reply:i think white would be pretty and innocent. nice for a wedding. not too loud
Reply:Yellow and white mix Yellow roses with white daisy and baby breaths
Reply:yellow or pink or white would be pretty
Reply:Depends on your style and the effect you want. Yellow or Pink will have a shocking, yet pleasant effect. If you like it low-key, white is always a great standby, because it creates a mono-chromtic (one color) theme. I love weddings where color is explosive...you'll see this in the latin cultures and in african cultures...it really looks like a celebration.
Reply:Try 3 White Calla Lilly... goes beautiful with any color dress... plus it's cute...
Reply:there is a flower called Scabiosa or Love in a Mist with that exact cornflower blue your dress!!! You could mix it with some white hydrangea....or if you want a bright and bold look dark purple hydrangea and then a few lavender flowers to accent the Scabiosa (that look is really in)
Reply:flowers are like accesories to your dresses, not needed to match but to compliment

ask your florist to show you a combination of purple, deep pink and blue flowers
Reply:Yellow roses would be pretty. Or you could do a peach colored rose. If you aren't a fan of roses, lilles, daffodils, lily of the valley, sunflowers, daisies...all would be pretty. Check out www.theknot.com for some pictures. You can also check out some flower websites that give you pictures of the flowers and the meaning behind them. Good luck!
Reply:you could use daffodils in a buttercup yellow, cream colored roses, calla lilies, or any other lily mixed with the daffodils and maybe some tulips, creamy carnations tipped in the blue of your dresses (they basically dip the tips in dye to match the dresses or color scheme), daisies, pink white and yellow tulips

here are some photos of some of the flowers:

I take photos of purple flowers but they turn out blue in the digital photos. What can I do to remedy this?

Flowers include irises and purple hyrdrangeas. Magenta flowers turn out a bright red in my digital photographs too. Do I need to change the camera setting or need to get some kind of filter? All the other colors in the digital photos come out fine.

I take photos of purple flowers but they turn out blue in the digital photos. What can I do to remedy this?
You don't say if the problem is apparent on your monitor or in prints or both.

If the colors are wrong on your monitor, you need to color calibrate it. You can do this with the trial version of Photoshop, if you don't have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Use Photoshop Help to read how to do it, then follow the instructions.

Also, be sure you have your system set up to use Adobe RGB 1998 as a color profile, rather than sRFGB. sRGB has more limited colors than Adobe RGB 1998.

If your monitor colors are OK and the problem is in your printouts make sure you are using the same brand of paper as your printer (for example, Canon paper for a Canon printer or Epson paper for an Epson printer). You can use different brands of paper, but you will get the most accurate colors when the brands are the same.

If this doesn't fix the problem contact me via email and I'll walk you through getting your printer profiled so the prints are more accurate. There are commercial services that help you with this without you having to buy a print profile device.
Reply:I always have this problem, did you try using macro on your cam.? it captures more deatails for those type of photos but anyway, yes it probally is your printer, if not then its your monitor %26amp; if thats not the case then just change the settings on your cam.,mess around with them(that is the color mode %26amp; the White balnance) and see if that makes a differnce, that ussaly does the trick for me, and if you have a sony camera, make sure its on the seeting that looks like a "p" so you can be able to adjust those things, hope i helped
Reply:this is most likely a printer issue and not a camera or photographer (as in you) issue. all printers come with their own built in color management software. this often differs from how your camera may handle colors. what you need to do is set up a 'color profile' that you will use for printing. in photoshop i use adobe rgb 1998. there are many others that you can use specific to your printer and color mode. check your printer documentation to find yours. all printers are different and you may use different color profiles for different situations.

also consider the fact that it may be a limitation of your printer. unless you are using the 'prosumer' level inkjets you may not get the color you desire. i suggest an epson 1800 or above or a comparable canon. i prefer epson just because i'm used to them but canon produces wonderful results as well.
Reply:Change your white balance. You probably hae it on tungsten. If you are outside use the natural or cloudy setting. Or if you camera has the function where you can set a custom white balance, then find a white object near the flower, or use a white piece of paper and use that.
Reply:I am not sure what you are doing . One thing you can try is block the sun light from the flower and use the shade. you should put your camera on a tripod and shoot a slow shutter if your camera will let you. also make sure your monitor is not alittle out of adjustment that will show colors adjusted not on the chip. close is very touchy on color and full object in focus. Slow shutter will get you full focus.
Reply:This is a complex problem that needs to be solved methodically.

Many digital cameras get "confused" when used to photograph subjects that have one or two dominant colors. To begin with you need to determine if the problems is 1) a fault in the camera's image sensor, software or display, 2) an adjustable setting that needs to be changed, 3) a limitation of the camera you are using.

To determine which of these it is purchase or borrow an 18% gray card. This is a tool used by professional photographers and processing services to determine correct exposure and color balance (called "White Balance" on most digital cameras) for a photographic images. Then do this -

1. Using the EXACT SAME LIGHTING as the subject take a picture of the card, get close enough so that only the card is in the picture.

2. View the picture on the camera's viewing screen and compare it side by side with the gray card. If they match closely you can usually eliminate sensor, software %26amp; display problems. If they don't match try viewing the picture on a computer with a CALIBRATED display screen. If the picture are OK or greatly improved chances are the camera display is faulty or inadequate for judging the type of images you are making.

If you do get a good image of the grey card then your problem is almost certainly an issue of settings on your camera. Most likely the white balance. If your camera allows you to set the white balance manually you will probably need to adjust it that way to get satisfactory images.

Here are a couple of sites that can help you figure out the proper white balance settings. -

If you can't adjust the white balance manually this is a limitation of your camera.

If you have more questions you can email me.
Reply:Using Expodisc White Balance Filter,it could correction any lighting and colour balanings,Try of it,I have one that fill success of the photos which had taken.
Reply:Sounds like a colour balance problem.
Reply:I have been having the same problem with photoshop, but my Blue looks purple. If i change it to immage ready it looks blue again. I have only been having this problem since i have installed my Epson printer. I reset Photoshop by pressing Shift,+ Alt + Cntrl when starting photoshop, but i am still having the same problem.

It leads me to belive that it is a printer conflict with the software.

If you are having this issue, try clicking the switch to Image ready and see if the color changes to the real color of the photo. Ryball
Reply:This is a problem I have with my Olympus Evolt 500. But... get one printed. The color will be fine. I don't know why but certain hues of purple will look blue one a computer screen or even an LCD monitor (even to the naked eye). But it will be fine after it's been developed, you'll see. It's been suggested that Earth's sky is actually a shade of lavender but our eyes see it as blue. Funny huh?
Reply:Flowers are always tough. Because their coloration is complex, we do not see all the colors that are actually being reflected back. Insects "see" what is necessary to attract them to the flower so pollination is successful.

Some films and most sensors "see" this additional information and record it, thus giving your images a color you did not see.

You may want to try having the image files printed at a photo lab and see if indeed there is a problem with your printer, but I suspect if all of your other images are color correct, then the lab color will not be too much different from what you already have experienced.

In some cases using a polarizing filter can help.

What silk flowers could be used in a wedding with color scheme of red, white, and blue?

My wedding is on July 18, 2008 and I am having a hard time coming up with what types of flowers to decorate with. I need some ideas (besided red, white, and blue roses or carnations)...

What silk flowers could be used in a wedding with color scheme of red, white, and blue?
Red and white......if you aren't careful blue silks tend to look pretty cheap.

Just take a drive to the Garden Ridge or equivilant craft store in your area and walk around. Browse up and down aisles and load the cart with any flower in your colors that catch your eye, then narrow down to a few. What would be good for you will depend on the other details of your wedding like budget, formality, time/date....etc.

The good news about silks is if you see a flower that you like in nature but say it only comes in pink....you can probably find a red silk version.
Reply:Those colors are going to be beautiful.

Silk:

Bluebonnets

hydrangias

poppies

tullips

white dailies
Reply:red tulips, white daffodils and blue hydrangea

I would recommend searching through real flower photos to get ideas.

Sensational Brides has a great deal of photos for flowers

Good luck

What are some blue summer flowering periannuals, and annnuals?

This is probably the dumbest thing you've ever heard, but I want to plant some blue flowers around my dog's dog house, (who has blue eyes). Dumb? Maybe, but what are some summer flowering periannuals and annuals?

What are some blue summer flowering periannuals, and annnuals?
for perenial blue flowers there are blue hydrangea... keep the soil acid and they will stay blue and get bluer with added acid (muracid fertalizer)... there is also blue cranesbill.

Vinca Major has blue flowers and is a nice ground cover.

for annuals Plant argeratum, blue Salvia, vinca minor has blue flowers and trails(window boxes on the dog house?)

Lobelia has deep blue flowers.... good luck and i think it is a cute idea!
Reply:No one has mentioned agapanthas yet. They are perennial and, in general, bloom only once in the summer. However, if the stalk is cut as soon as the flowers are done, a second bloom will come up.

The down side to these, are snails.
Reply:veronica speedwell has blue spires

delphiniums come in blue as well as other colors

blue cardinal flowers are great

blue four o'clocks

morning glories

viola

blue butterfly bushe

sorry to tell you must flowers and plants will be DESTROYED

by a dog unless you fence in your flowerbeds to keep the dog out of the bed and in his own area
Reply:No, I don't think it is dumb at all. To the contrary, I think it is very cute and sweet !!!

Perennials--Delpheniums come in blue, Roses, Corn Flowers and so do hydrangas.

As far as others, I can't think of many.

Annuals--They have lots of light purple plants that could work, like petunias, etc.

Look around at Home Depot and Lowe's Garden Center. You may find lots of goodies !!

Also...Go to Gurney's website and check out what they have. You will be happy that you did.

Hope you dog likes the flowers and doesn't destroy or dig those posies up. :))))
Reply:My blue flowering summer perennials are Blue beard and Russian Sage, which are a nice shade of light blue
Reply:Other posters have given some very good examples. I am familiar with the following blue flowers:

1. Blue daze (evolvus). Annual. http://www.cornerstonetreefarm.com/veget...

2. Blue petunias. Annual. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalamakia/2... May be difficult to find this late in summer.

3. Blue morning glories. http://www.flickr.com/photos/capecodcycl... Vines. Annuals, but self-seed.

4. Blue salvia. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ciemor/1543... Sort of bluish-purplish. I don't plant this one, but a neighbor does; I don't know if it's an annual or a perennial.

5. Blue iris. http://www.flickr.com/photos/49503126780... Perennial. Spreads.

yeah i like blue flowers... so if a guy gets me a bouquet of flowers what are some pretty blue flowers? i know there are blue roses but any other suggestions?

What are some names of pretty blue flower?
There are forget-me-not,

bluebells

crocus

hyacinth

can't think of any more at the moment
Reply:Larkspur
Reply:Flax is a pretty blue. I also like bachelor buttons and wild aster. A florist will also spray carnations a pretty blue.
Reply:Hydrangeas, blue bells, blue bonnets, salvia, pansies, or lupine
Reply:Iris and pansies come in blue.

What color flowers go with navy blue?

I want gerbena daisies for sure, maybe some star gazer lilies. Right now I have only thought of white and bright pink. I do not want to dye any flowers either. Any suggestions would be so helpful. I'm going crazy tryingto think. Oh yeah my dress has a gray/blue (cornflower) colored design on it. Thanks a bunch

What color flowers go with navy blue?
Two suggestions:

1) Yellow. Saw this at a wedding. The yellow flowers really "pop" against navy dresses.

2) A really bright mix of flowers. Yellow, red, orange . . . maybe with some type of blue accent, or tied together with blue ribbon.
Reply:I would say a soft pink rose.
Reply:daisys, i love daisys
Reply:navy is almost considered a neutral...so you could go with different shades of blues, purples, reds. Go to a floral shop or look and silk florals and play with different colors.
Reply:I would do Yellow as my first option and then maybe pink or some thing. don't stress about colors of flowers trust me know one will remember those flowers except for you ! i just went to 2 weddings one last weekened and one 2 weekends ago and i can't remember the colors at all ! and its been less than 14 days !
Reply:different shades of white, and cream colors look really good with that color.especially cream color roses...good luck!
Reply:Yellow is beautiful with navy and you dont have to dye them because you can use roses and the dasies. Let me know what you use. Samantha
Reply:Youre three best choices are light blue, white or light pink
Reply:Anything except for possibly darker purples. I personally think yellows and orange flowers would be gorgeous.
Reply:light pink %26amp; white or light baby blue
Reply:There are so many rich colors to gerber daisies....use them all, they are large enough to hold their own in a bouquet. I did a wedding where gerber daisies were the only flower...all colors...I wouldn't recommend them for lapels, they were a little large... I would just use greenery, but the bridesmaids bouquets, the mothers flowers, and the bride's bouquet were all multi color gerber daisies...very lovely. Not to mention...what a happy flower!
Reply:White roses, yellow roses, soft pink roses.
Reply:I think blue is a beautiful color with yellow.

That said, Navy blue goes great with most colors,

White

pink (light or fuchsia)

red

even a different shade of blue

have a happy wedding!
Reply:a soft blue or a soft pink .
Reply:red or white would look absoulutly beautiful!!! :) it really works
Reply:gray, blue and ivory is very nice and allows for a lot of room to work with different types of flowers.
