Im marrying a Sailor in August and we are using Navy colors for our wedding. What are some blue flowers that can be used in the bouquets? HELP!
Blue flowers anyone?
There are many blue flowers. Blue Tulips are Gorgeous. Blue Peonies, Blue Bells, Hydrangeas (perfect for cut flowers) Lobelia, Plumbago(beatiful but mostly available in the south)Siberian Iris', Blue Roses, Vinca, Scabiosa,Verbenia
Gerbera Daisies come in about every color under the sun and they hold up well in bouquets
Reply:Use Peri winkle.
Reply:Corn flowers aka Bachelor buttons, and Irises, are two that I can think of that are naturally occurring. Or I found this site that appears to dye them for you : http://www.dotflowers.com/colors-abound-...
Reply:Cornflowers ( bachelor buttons) and Myosotis( forget me nots) and Lobelia come in blue but not navy blue. Maybe you could substitute navy ribbons tucked here and there in loops?
Reply:Carnations, irises, lilac, maybe even roses.
Reply:Carnations Violets Why don't you go to a florist and get some ideas
Reply:the best way to find out what flowers are blue is to talk directly to a florist who than can show you a list and a book full of blue flowers!
Reply:Blue bells are the first that come to mind or Orchids(but those are expensive) Have you thought about white flowers? That would be beautiful with Navy dresses and really "complete" your sailor theme.
Best of luck!
Oh I forgot Hydrangeas too!
Reply:daisys are lovely irises2

Reply:you can have some flowers dyed blue if yiou cant find any that are naturally blue - ask the florist
Reply:Morning Glory is the only one I am aware of.
Reply:blue(pastel) and white carnations. You can find a lot of silk flowers in blue if you didnt necessarily want real flowers. They are less expensive and last forever as mementos.
Reply:As virgo27 noted, there are a ton of blue varieties of flowers, but since its hard to decide on a flower without seeing what they look like, theres a site by the connecticut botanical society that has photos of lots of flowers by color.
