Would it be okay if i used red flowers with blue gowns?

I am having a winter wedding and my bridesmaids are wearing blue gowns. i want red bouques with holley berries and pine in them

Would it be okay if i used red flowers with blue gowns?
hunny it is your wedding do as you wish and be unique with it for it is something people should do only once in a life time so if that is what you are wanting then i say go for it and good luck with the marriage....i send my best wishes....let me know what you decide

Reply:That should be fine. Check out bridal pictures and pay attention to color schemes.
Reply:It depends on what hue of blue the dresses are. If they are bright blue, then NO WAY! If they are more robin's egg blue, then that can be beautiful. If you're going with a brighter blue, then I would use flowers that are not as bright. Maybe a pale pink or coral. I wouldn't have your flowers and your dresses the same intensity of color. I think it will be overwhelming. If you have to pick one to keep, keep the dresses! A bronze or champagne color dress or brown dress would look beautiful against red flowers. Good luck!
Reply:i actually think that will be very pretty! I believe the dresses will be a darker blue right? that will make the flowers, berrys, and pine pop out!
Reply:My cousin's girls wore navy blue and carried bouquets of solid red roses and they looked beautiful! Go for it!
Reply:erm it depends what kind of blue i suppose.. but generally its good :) have a lovely wedding x
Reply:doesnt sound the best to me but sometimes the stuff the sounds bad actually looks good. hold a red flower up to the dress and see what it looks like. it is your wedding so if thats what you want then get it.

i think the last link on Riss's comment is lovely that would be nice with blue dress.
Reply:your flowers are suppose to reflect your style and personality so what ever you like.
Reply:Depends on the colour blue,if it's a navy blue or a darker blue, it might go well, you could perhaps ask for a silver or winter white ribbon to go with them. If it's it's more of an ice blue probably not. But hey it's your day, the florist should be able to help you with what flowers go with what colours.
Reply:Sounds pretty just as long as it's not AMERICAN flag blue.... they might all look like miss america!!
Reply:It would depend on the shade/color of blue. If it's a bright blue, it will look more like 4th of July than a winter holiday. However, it's your wedding, and you can work with the florist to come up with something that would look just as you want it to look. Good luck!
Reply:I think using red will be fine as long as the red doesn't over power the bouqetes. Try adding some blue and white flowers as well. Here are a few pics to inspire you:

Reply:NO!!! That would be ugly. Have you thought about gold or bronze for a winter wedding? Think Xmas colours if you want Xmas flowers.
Reply:white roses and/or maybe baby pink roses would go better...but thats just me
Reply:no!!!!!that seems so PATRIOTIC. a wedding is a place of matrimony and happiness. If your brides are wearing blue gowns and it is a winter wedding us should have:

*White Roses

*Oriental lillies

yellow roses, tulips, vibernum, eucaliptus

Those will look great with your blue dresses
