How do I go about doing a private auction? I have an antique blue flowered loo and 78s and LP records.?

Have had offers for the loo already. Was thinking of taking the records to an auction room. Do you think it`ll be worth it?

Reply:For selling I would always use eBay for that sort of stuff. You are going to reach a far wider audience and the commission rates are very low.
Reply:If you take it to an auction house or hire an auctioneer, be sure to ask about their rates. They can demand a hefty percent of the take.
Reply:You can do local pickup only on ebay if you feel they are too bulky to mail, but I've bought records on ebay and had no trouble having them mailed. I've also had chairs sent, so I doubt what you have would be bulkier that they were! You can also take them to a local auction house.
